An Ivy Tech Community College official says he's optimistic that it won't have to close any of its class sites around Indiana after projecting last summer that up to 20 might have to be shut down.
Numerous cities have worked to find ways to cover costs such as rent so that Ivy Tech could keep open some of the smaller of its more than 70 locations across the state.
Ivy Tech executive vice president Jeff Terp tells “The Indianapolis Star” that he doesn't expect immediate closures. He says the warning came after a school review found 19 sites were losing money.
