Opening arguments and testimony are scheduled to begin today in the trial of an Ohio man accused in the brutal murder of a Marion man in July of 2012.
James Griffith of Celina, Ohio and formerly of Marion, is accused of Murder, Robbery, and other charges in connection with the killing of 81-year old Duwayne Lindsey. Lindsey was found beaten and stabbed to death inside his home on South Adams Street following a robbery. Griffith’s girlfriend Lacey Bradley is also charged with similar crimes, but will be tried separately at a later date.
A jury was seated Friday in Grant County Superior Court One to hear the case against Griffith, who plans to act as his own attorney in the case.
If convicted of the crimes, Griffith could be sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
