Justice Student Wins Grant County Spelling Bee

by Sammy Edmonds posted Mar 24 2014 3:44PM
It was a “distinguished” victory for a fifth grade student at Justice Intermediate School in Marion yesterday as she was crowned the champion of the Grant County Spelling Bee.
Jinwon Pae correctly spelled “distinguished” to win the annual competition, sponsored by Indiana Wesleyan University.  She beat out 80 other spellers from 18 Grant County Schools.   Carryann Aguilar of Justice was the runner-up.
Jinwon Pae now advances to the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington D-C in late May.
