Legislature Ponders Mass Transit Needs of Central Indiana

by Sammy Edmonds posted Mar 11 2014 3:31PM

The Indiana General Assembly enters its final week of this year’s session with a central Indiana mass transit expansion still unresolved.

State Senator Patricia Miller authored the bill authorizing referendums in six central Indiana counties on using local income taxes to beef up bus service and she also chairs the conference committee trying to work out a final version.

Legislators also haven‘t settled whether to slam the door on light rail service for central Indiana.
