Longtime Grant County educator and Ivy Tech executive Doctor John Lightle has been named the President of the Marion Campus.
Under a recent statewide restructuring program, Ivy Tech officials have named Regional Campus Presidents at many of the state’s Ivy Tech locations.
Lightle has been an executive at the Marion Ivy Tech campus for over 11-years since retiring from the Marion Community School system.
Lightle says the title is a nice reward for his years of service at Ivy Tech.
Lightle will handle many of the day-to-day operations at the Marion campus, including fundraising and campus outreach. Chancellor Andrew Bowne will assume more managerial duties for the East Central Region of Ivy Tech, which now includes locations in Marion, Muncie, Anderson, New Castle and Portland.
Ivy Tech has also named Doctor James Willey as the President of the Anderson Campus.
