Lost Hunter Rescued At Mississinewa Reservoir

by Sammy Edmonds posted Oct 14 2013 2:52PM
State Conservation officers rescued a Howard County man early Monday after he got lost while hunting at the Mississinewa Reservoir in Wabash County.
DNR officials say 33-year old Jeremy Dunn of Kokomo went to the Reservoir before dawn Monday to hunt.  But Dunn got lost while looking for a tree to place his tree stand and could not find his way back to his vehicle.
Dunn used a cell phone to call authorities, who told him to go to the water’s edge and wait.  Conservation officers in a boat finally located him.  Dunn was unharmed.
Conservation officers say it’s important for hunters to always carry a cell phone with them while hunting in case of such emergencies.
