MCS Seeks Designers for Turf Project

by Sammy Edmonds posted Dec 5 2013 10:25AM
Marion Community School officials have yet to choose a designer for a high dollar turf field project.  Support Services Director Troy Freeman says they need to choose an architect soon in order to complete the design process by mid-February.

The artificial turf field set replace their grass field at the high school stadium is projected to cost about 700-thousand dollars, but Advisory Board member Aaron Vermillion says potential corporate sponsorship could pay for up to half of the project.

The board hopes the new turf field, once finished by fall, will serve as a center for all sports and activities at Marion Community Schools.
