Madison-Grant Accepts Bids For Upgrades

by Sammy Edmonds posted Feb 14 2014 3:09PM
The Madison-Grant School board approved bids last night to begin construction on upgrades at each of their schools. The Junior-Senior high will mainly get HVAC replacement units, Summitville Elementary will receive roof replacement, restroom remodeling and new energy-efficient lighting, and Park Elementary will get new ceilings, lighting and other renovations.

Most projects came in under budget of $2-million for each school.  So, the design firm of Barton Coe Vilamaa is recommending the school system replace roofing at the Junior-Senior high school and at Park Elementary.

All work will be done primarily during the summer, but some projects may carry over into the school year.
