A Marion man was tased for apparently resisting police officers during a disturbance at an apartment complex Sunday. Marion Police responded to the 300 block of North Greentree Apartments to the report of a domestic disturbance that resulted in a broken window. There, 27-year-old Tavarious Turner resisted officers’ orders while carrying a 3-month-old child. After the child was put in a safe spot Turner reportedly continued to resist orders and a struggle ensued. Police used a taser on him twice with no effect, then they wrestled him to the ground.
Turner was then placed under arrest. During the search officers found assorted pills in his pocket with along with a large amount of cash.
Turner faces resisting law enforcement and possession of a controlled substance. He was first taken to Marion General Hospital to get checked out then was transported to the Grant County Jail.
