Marion and Mississinewa High Schools have each been honored by “U-S News and World Report” with bronze medals for being among the country’s outstanding high schools.
“U-S News and World Report” honored 127 Indiana high schools with accolades for their achievements. Four of those schools received gold medals, 41 received silver medals and Marion and Mississinewa joined 80 other Hoosier schools in receiving bronze medals for their efforts.
Marion Principal Lennon Brown said the award recognizes just how far Marion has come in the past few years, from almost being taken over by the state to receiving national recognition for the schools achievements in educating young people.
Mississinewa school officials said they were also thrilled with the award from “U-S News and World Report.”
