Now that Governor Pence has signed the mass transit bill into law, the next step is taking it to voters in Central Indiana.
The counties covered by the new law include Marion, Johnson, Hancock, Hamilton, Delaware and Madison Counties. Voters there will be given the opportunity to decide how they would like to see the future of mass transit.
Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard says it marks a significant step forward for the growth of Indy and the rest of Central Indiana.
