Police say the manager of a Miami County farm operation has been charged with stealing more than 63-thousand dollars in crop profits from his boss.
State Police say the owner of the Miami County farm had promoted 33-year-old Brent Graber to farm manager after her husband died earlier this year. The “Kokomo Tribune” reports that Graber oversaw the transportation and sale of corn and soybeans to a grain elevator but the profits from the crops were supposed to be deposited into the farm's bank accounts.
Police say he instead deposited more than 63-thousand dollars of the profits into a personal account.
He and his girlfriend are then charged with going on a spending spree, buying furniture, a vehicle, guns and hunting equipment. Both Graber and 27-year old Jessica Brooks of Peru both face felony counts of Theft.
