A Miami County man was arrested following a standoff with police late New Year’s Day.
The Peru Tribune reports 20-year-old Levi Crews “was in an altercation with members of his household” when he displayed a 12-guage shotgun and fired at least one shot.
Crews reportedly battered one victim in the presence of a child inside the home while he was intoxicated.
When officers arrived, they were initially unable to locate Crews, but then arrested him following a standoff.
He faces criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, domestic battery, two counts of neglect of a dependent and minor consumption.
