Minimum Wage Increase Bill Waiting for a Hearing in Legislature

by Sammy Edmonds posted Feb 3 2014 1:41PM
A bill to raise Indiana‘s minimum wage is currently awaiting a hearing in the General Assembly.

Supporters of the increase rallied at the Statehouse on Wednesday, saying an increase would pull some families out of poverty.

However, opponents worry a forced increase in the minimum wage will be a job-killer and could force some businesses to eliminate workers or even close their doors.
