Most Grant County Schools Show Improvement

by Sammy Edmonds posted Jan 2 2014 11:26AM
While most Grant County Schools received improved letter grades this year, a couple of districts showed some decline.

Three of the four Eastbrook Schools dropped one letter grade with Eastbrook North and South elementaries receiving a B, and the junior high dropped to a D.  Oak Hill Schools held three of the four A’s they received last year, with Swayzee dropping to a B and Oak Hill Junior High dropping to a D.

But most school systems in Grant County are relieved to have received improved grades.

Three of the four Madison Grant Schools bumped one letter grade with the Junior High receiving a C, Park Elementary getting a B, and Summitville getting an A.  Half of Mississinewa Schools showed drastic improvement with Westview and Northview Elementary both improving from a D to and A.  And 7 of the 8 schools in Marion’s school district showed significant improvement.

Meanwhile, Allen Elementary holds an F grade again this year.
