Naval Commander, Anderson Native, Retires

A Navy Commander and Anderson Native has retired after 31 years of service.
Rear Admiral Scott Craig led Strike Force Training Atlantic for 15 months and also served in numerous other commanding roles. A native of Anderson Indiana, Craig began his military career as a Marine and upon graduating from Indiana University, became a naval aviator. Craig commanded Strike Fighter Squadron 115 aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln and Carrier Air Wing 14 aboard USS John C-Stennis and USS Ronald Reagan.
A change of command was held this week in Norfolk, Virginia where Craig was succeeded by Rear Admiral Scott Stearney who also has Indiana ties. A native of Chicago, Stearney graduated from the University of Notre Dame.
