The Boys and Girls Club of Grant County has partnered with Indiana Wesleyan University to kick of a new fundraising campaign tied with basketball. The ‘Nothing but Nets’ campaign starts tomorrow (Saturday) and for every three-point shot either the IWU’s men’s team or the Marion Giants men’s team makes, $20 will be donated to the Boys and Girls Club, plus Marion native Zach Randolph of the Memphis Grizzlies will match each $20 donation. Then at the end of the year, a check will be presented to the local club.
Board of Directors member Ryan Jones says the monies will fund the basic programming needs of the organization.
There will also be two “family fun” nights where all Boys and Girls Club members and parents will get into the game for free and play exhibition games during half-time. The first family fun event is tomorrow (Sat) at IWU at 3pm.
