Oak Hill Moves Forward with Construction Project

by Sammy Edmonds posted Aug 25 2014 2:59PM
Oak Hill elementary schools will be getting upgrades this summer after construction bids were approved by the school board last night.

Swayzee, Sweetser and Converse Elementary Schools will get updated H-V-A-C systems and roofing, and each school will receive some individual work such as bathroom and window updates.

Project Manager Eric Wolf says the project has come in under budget so far.

Wolf said there were some concerns about project timing, since school will last longer due to weather make-up days, and they can’t start the bulk of the heavy work until classes are out for the summer.  He still anticipates the work will be 90-percent completed by the time school starts in August, and completely finished by October.
