The F-A-A continues to investigate a weekend plane crash in Marion that left the pilot with only minor injuries.
The pilot...who has yet to be indentified...was attempting to land the small craft at the Marion Municipal Airport Saturday afternoon, when he hit a snow bank and flipped the plane. The pilot was trapped inside the plane and called 9-1-1 from a cell phone.
Mill Township Firefighters were first on the scene where they helped to free him from the craft. Officials say the pilot was treated at Marion General Hospital for cuts and scrapes and later released.
Marion Assistant Fire Chief Rick Backs says the pilot was "shook up" but fully alert and walked away from the accident.
The F-A-A is handling the investigation.
