A new Gallup Poll shows the number of Americans without health insurance coverage dipped during the first three months of this year.
The poll shows 3.5 million Americans gained coverage as the initial signup for Obamacare closed. Figures show the number of Americans without health insurance shrank from 17.1 million to 15.6 million.
Indiana Fiscal Policy Institute President John Ketzenberger says those figures confirm that people actually sought coverage and the Affordable Care Act is working as intended. Indiana is among states that chose not to establish their own exchanges, so interested Hoosiers had to sign up through the federal exchange.
