The Indiana Education Roundtable has voted to approve a draft version of new K-through-12 academic standards for Hoosier schools.
The group yesterday also passed a resolution that requires associated guidance materials, such as reading lists and information on text difficulty, to be brought back to the Education Roundtable and the State Board of Education for final approval when that’s been completed.
The new standards will replace the controversial Common Core standards that the state threw out.
