There are few political or moral issues in public debate these days more divisive than the question of same sex marriage, and whether the State of Indiana should formally amend its Constitution to ban it.
Today could be the day that Hoosiers will find out what the General Assembly intends to do to resolve the issue. The proposed constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage faces one more hurdle before a final vote in the House and an opportunity for members to try to revise it.
That debate at the State House could come as early as this afternoon.
