School Corporation Grades Handed Out by Dept. of Education

Two Grant County School corporations showed improvement in the overall grades handed out this year by the Indiana Department of Education. Two others stayed steady and just one had its’ grade go down from last year.
Marion Community Schools improved its’ overall grade from a “D” to a “C” this year, while Madison-Grant improved from a “C” to a “B.” Eastbrook schools remained steady with a “B” grade from the state, while Mississinewa remained steady with a “C.” The grade for Oak Hill schools went down from an “A” last year to a “B” this year.
Statewide, just four school corporations received failing grades, including Indianapolis Public Schools, Gary Schools, East Chicago Schools and the tiny Medora school district in Southern Indiana.
