With temperatures rising and the weather improving, city crews in Marion are becoming more active when it comes to cleaning and repairing streets.
Mayor Wayne Seybold says Street Department crews have been busy picking up leaves that did not get picked up late last year after the November wind storm struck and winter snows began.
The mayor says crews have also been busy trying to fill in potholes and have filled in more than 4,000 so far.
Mayor Seybold says fixing streets will be a priority and more permanent repairs will begin to take place once the weather settles and allows work crews to begin the daunting task of making the repairs.
