Sirens to Sound Saturday in Marion, Earlier Than Planned

by Sammy Edmonds posted Mar 20 2014 4:31PM
Marion and surrounding residents will hear sirens at noon Saturday.  That’s the Marion Police Department performing a test of their severe weather sirens.  They originally planned to do the test on Thursday the 20th, but Marion Community Schools requested they change the date since students would be taking exams during that time.

Again, severe weather test sirens will go off tomorrow at noon.  Meanwhile, other test sirens will still sound on Thursday as part of a statewide effort.
