Taylor University Junior Jordan Melendez is one of ten American college students chosen to participate in a prestigious summer internship at CERN in Switzerland.
CERN is a nuclear research organization that boasts many discoveries in the field of Physics, including discovering the “God Particle.” The organization was founded in 1953 and has 21 member countries.
Melendez is a double major in Physics and Mathematics at Taylor. The Ohio native says he believes his research in particle physics was key in getting him selected, as most students do not study this field until graduate school.
