A Tennessee woman was hospitalized following a roll-over crash on I-69 in Grant County Monday afternoon. 20-year-old Amber Richmond was reportedly traveling southbound near the Gas City exit when for unknown reasons she veered onto the median, then overcorrected and hit a guard rail flipping her vehicle. Richmond was trapped and had to be extricated by Gas City Firefighters. She was then transported to Marion General Hospital for treatment of a non-life-threatening head injury.
Richmond was wearing a seatbelt which police believe helped prevent more serious injuries.
Alcohol or drugs are not suspected to be factors in the crash.
