The Marion Grant County Joint Effort Against Narcotics Unit seized their first two meth labs of the year Tuesday night and early Wednesday. The first one occurred in the 2500 block of West 9th
Street and the second one in the 2000 block of South Washington Street.
Marion residents 28-year-old Ryan McKinney and 39-year-old Farris Crain were subsequently arrested and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine.
JEAN Team Captain Mark Stefanatos says they found a single one-pot meth lab on West 9th
Street, but found evidence of at least ten one-pots of meth being cooked at the South Washington location.
In the raid, the JEAN team also seized drug paraphernalia, a small amount of meth, three handguns and stolen property.
McKinney and Crain are both being held in the Grant County Jail. Crain is being held on a $20,000 dollar bond and McKinney is being held with no bond due to an earlier charge for violating probation.
