Van Buren Teen Arrested after Montpelier Robbery

Police have arrested a rural Van Buren teenager following the robbery of a convenience store in Montpelier Sunday.
Charlie’s Convenience Store in Montpelier was held up at gunpoint Sunday afternoon. The suspect then fled west into Grant County. A witness followed the suspect’s vehicle and got a license plate number, then called Grant County Sheriff’s deputies who went to the youth’s home and arrested him.
The boy is under 18 and police have not released his name.
The case remains under investigation.
