A Marion city employee who was convicted of stealing items from a home that originally cost him his job, won’t spend any time in jail for the incident.
Jack Wainscott was convicted of Theft for allegedly stealing items from a local home while on the job. According to the “Chronicle-Tribune” Wainscott was sentenced yesterday to 18-months probation for the conviction, but no jail time.
Although the city suspended Wainscott and later terminated him after the charges were filed, an arbitrator ordered him re-instated after Wainscott appealed his dismissal. He now works in the city Street Department.
