Authorities say human remains found in Kosciusko County over the weekend are those of an 18-year-old woman who had been missing for more than a year.
The Kosciusko County coroner's office says a forensic examination of the skeletal remains determined they belonged to Aurora Shoemaker of Warsaw.
Shoemaker lived in a nearby mobile home park and was last seen in August of 2012 after leaving her mother's home for a walk. Children discovered the remains Sunday while playing in a wooded area just north of Warsaw.
Coroner Michael Wilson says the cause of Shoemaker's death has not yet been determined.
