Rep. Phyllis Pond Dies

The woman who served in the Indiana Legislature longer than any other woman in the state‘s history has died.   
Phyllis Pond died at the age of 82 on Sunday.
Just last month, the Republican announced she would resign her legislative seat effective October 15th after being diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis.   
Pond lived in New Haven and represented the 85th House District since 1978.
