Madison-Grant Considers Weighting Grades

A committee representing Madison-Grant Schools is weighing the possibility of implementing a weighted grading system.
The committee was formed after a group of parents addressed the board recently saying students were at a disadvantage with colleges and universities due to Madison-Grant not offering weighted grades.  Students who achieve weighted grades from taking certain classes receive a bump in their grade point average.
The committee comprised of teachers, students, parents and board members met for the first time Monday.  They’re expected to meet again before making a recommendation to the full board in the next few weeks.
