Anderson Apartment Fire Displaces Nine

Nine people in Anderson are homeless following apartment building fire.  Anderson Fire Department Chief Phillip Rogers says the fire broke out around two o‘clock Thursday afternoon at 233 West 11th Street near downtown.  Rogers says the old, two-story wood frame structure is a total loss.  
He says they don‘t yet know what caused the fire which firefighters contained to that building. He says the American Red Cross is working on temporary housing for the nine displaced residents.
