Public Speaks on Proposed Animal Ordinance

Marion citizens had a chance to speak on the proposed amendment to the Animal Ordinance which is intended to enforce mandatory spaying and neutering of pets.

Five members of the public were in favor of the proposal, which would inflict fines if the law is violated, and two spoke out against the enforcement.

The full committee will meet on the ordinance on March 3rd in a public forum and the changes could be brought before the council as early as March 4th.
