Kokomo Police are searching for an eight-year-old girl who was reportedly kidnapped late last week by her mother.
Kolyaun Williams told police his daughter Ja’layia was taken from a restaurant by her mother, 29-year-old Sherica Wizzard.
Williams has full custody of his daughter and had recently allowed Wizzard to spend time with the girl, though she hadn’t been in Ja’layia’s life for some time.
Police say the case did not meet the criteria for an Amber Alert.
Anyone with information about the whereabouts of the girl should call Kokomo Police.
