Military Appreciation Days open yesterday in Howard County, with special recognition being given this year to veterans of the Korean War.
The week-long celebration of Military Appreciation Days includes numerous ceremonies honoring veterans and current military personnel. It also includes about 80 businesses and organizations that are giving discounts and special services to military personnel, past and present.
