Economic development officials hope a new study will help boost the area’s sagging defense manufacturing industry and increase military contracts at the Grissom Air Reserve Base.
The Miami County Economic Development Authority has been awarded a 45-thousand dollar contract to conduct a regional supply chain analysis in a six-county area, including Howard, Miami, Tipton, Cass, Clinton and Fulton counties.
The survey will allow officials to analyze opportunities that might exist for business creation and expansion in the region.
