A man who has spent 42-years with the Miami County Sheriff’s Department has announced plans to run for Sheriff next year.
Tim Hunter plans to seek the Republican nomination in the May Primary. The 62-year old Hunter said he’d been asked by several persons to run for Sheriff and replace Tim Miller, who under state law cannot seek a third consecutive term.
Hunter is the second announced candidate for the job. Ron Glassburn also plans to seek the Sheriff’s office.
