Indiana Blood Center Supplies Running Very Low

The Indiana Blood Center reports that it has only a one-day supply of blood on their shelves, and officials are asking for help.

Frigid temperatures over the past week impacted mobile blood drives and Indiana Blood Center officials did not see the expected number of blood donors at the annual Bleed Blue Blood Drive, held at Lucas Oil Stadium two weeks ago.

Normal inventory levels at the Bllod Center average more than two thousand units daily.  Officials say B-negative units are back-ordered and all other types are dangerously low.
