Delaware County has agreed to buy the former Wilson Middle School in Muncie for a new jail.
The county will spend 2.85-million dollars to buy the building and property and spend uo to 45-million to turn it into a 500-bed jail within two years.
The Delaware County Council approved the purchase of the former school building after it was submitted by the county commissioners yesterday
