A Howard County Council Democratic Primary race has officially ended in a tie. A recount commission determined that the vote total for Les Ellison and Leslie Fatum was a tie and now a caucus will have to be held among party leaders to determine who wins the race and gets to run in the general election in November.
An error was found on one ballot that changed the total into a tie and led to the need for the special caucus to determine a winner.
