Leaf collection begins today in the city of Kokomo.
Leaves must be raked to the curb and must not be bagged. Bagged leaves will not be collected. Neither will limbs or branches. And it’s a violation to burn leaves in Kokomo.
The city will pass through each neighborhood at least three times between now and December 7th to pick up leaves.
City officials encourage using alternative means of collecting leaves, like mulching or composting.
