The Madison-Grant School Board has selected a new member to represent Liberty Township after no one filed to run for that seat in the November election.
John Hanes was chosen to fill that spot, despite the fact he’s only 23-years old. Hanes will take his seat on the board ion January, once current board member Aaron Caudell’s term expires. Caudell chose not to seek re-election.
Meanwhile, the contract of Madison-Grant Superintendent Scott Deetz has been extended through June of 2021. Deetz will receive a one-percent pay raise under the new agreement, plus five additional vacation days.
