Holcomb Quiet On How Teacher Raises Will Be Funded

Governor Eric Holcomb remains tight-lipped about how he plans to find the money in his proposed budget for the next two years to give Indiana’s public schools sufficient funding.

The Governor says it’s a careful process that will not be taken lightly. He says he’ll do his best to help teachers get the raises they are demanding.

Holcomb says the Indiana Department of Child Services also needs 286-million dollars in the next state budget. That’s a lot of taxpayer money, but Holcomb says it’s necessary.
