Two Marion firefighters have received promotions that were approved Monday by the City Board of Works.
Firefighter Roland Mason was promoted to Fire Engineer to fill a vacancy within the department. And rookie firefighter Nathan Duke has successfully completed his year-long probationary period and was sworn-in as a full-time city firefighter.
The Board of Works also approved a demolition order for an old house at 37-01 South Wigger Street. The City Building Department will have the building demolished in the coming few weeks once the weather allows.
