Faulkner Academy Moves Back

Students at the Faulkner Academy in Marion are back in their normal classrooms, after moving back into their building Thursday.

The school had to temporarily relocate to the St. Paul’s Missionary Baptist church for two weeks after a pipe burst in the school’s sprinkler system earlier this month, dousing the classrooms with water.  The students spent eleven days attending classes at the church while repairs were being made at the school.

According to the “Chronicle-Tribune,” the Faulkner Academy Board approved a temporary lease at the church, paying them 300-dollars per day in rent, which will be turned into the school’s insurance provider for re-imbursement.
