Grissom Air Reserve Base has hired its first-ever historian to compile the history of the military installation in Miami County.
Paul Marcello, a museum curator and former Air Force crew chief, will conduct historical research, interview current and former base personnel, as well as collect, organize and store historical publications at Grissom.
Grissom recently received federal funding to pay for the full-time historian’s position.
