Utility board forgives loan 4/5/19 6am
Last night, The Marion Utility Board unanimously approved a resolution to forgive the 1.7 million loan, plus interest, that the city of Marion has owed the utility board since 2013.
The resolution includes a provision that the city will not seek a payment in lieu of taxes from the Marion Utilities before the end of 2022.
The Marion City Council will consider the resolution at its meeting April 16th.
