While Terre Haute and Vigo County are working to try and get a casino under a law passed in the general assembly this year, Danville, Illinois, could be presenting some competition.
That city, which is just an hour away from Terre Haute, has been trying for several years to get a casino and this year the governor of Illinois signed a bill that will make it possible.
People in Vigo County will have to vote later this year on whether they want a casino.
